Senior Product Manager - Incentives (All Genders) [Germany]


 

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be the dedicated Product Manager in the cross-functional team of individuals who build and operate Zalando's Incentives product. This product is a cornerstone of Zalando's strategy, encompassing customer lifecycle management, sales events, and pricing strategies designed to create personalized engagement and drive sustainable growth.

You will deepen the relationships with 50+ million active customers across 25 countries by building customer-targeting and condition personalisation for our incentives. You will also enable commercial teams and stakeholders to reach their Customer goals with Incentives in a data-driven, AB-test proven ROI framework. You will work on one of Zalando's top priority products, working backward from a visionary target end state and building a high-performing cross-functional team.

WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Own your product. You will lead a complex mission-critical product, shape the visionary target state, and work backward accordingly. You will write clear and structured product narratives to receive buy-in from leadership and give guidance to teams. You will be responsible for the complete product lifecycle from ideation to the seamless automation and personalization of incentives to customers in alignment with Zalando's business objectives. This encompasses measuring and enhancing performance and empowering commercial stakeholders through a UI platform.
  • Deliver with teams. You will deliver cross-functional and cross-departmental product releases by closely collaborating with dedicated engineers, applied scientists, analysts, and stakeholders. With your solution-oriented mindset, you will identify and remove bottlenecks and push the roadmap to success.
  • Drive innovation. You will conduct product discovery and market research to identify new opportunities, always empathizing with the customer. You will assess their impact, consider them in the context of the Zalando Strategy, prioritize them, and deliver great results to help Zalando achieve its goals.
  • Stay focused. You will keep the team's focus on the vision and strategy by prioritizing and ensuring they work on the most critical projects. You will ensure a tight feedback loop with the relevant stakeholders to deliver a high-quality product.

  • Customer focus. You have a strong customer obsession, always keeping the perspective of the external and internal customers in mind.
  • Product methodologies. You are diligent and detail-oriented and can prioritize requests and deliverables according to the company's overall strategy and goals. You can define solid product and decision documents on a highly ambiguous/complex domain and have experience working with stakeholders to deliver the expected business benefits.
  • Analytical skills. You have a structured approach to solving complex problems. You have experience working with analysts to focus on getting the right insights and interpreting data for decision-making. You have a good intuition and know when to dive deep into data and when not.
  • Communication. Effective written and verbal communication skills (in English), with the ability to understand, analyze, and communicate business problems, decisions, and priorities to engineering teams and business stakeholders.
